Item #AN108C Antares 17" Regular Length/Forward Flap, 2006

$ 1,495.00

Antares 17” Close Contact Jumping Saddle. Features soft, supple leather (so soft you can roll the flaps). French grain leather on flaps for durability and softness with calfskin knee/seat.  Padded flap.  Flap is regular length, forward in position (2AB, with the 2 indicating regular length in this brand and the AB representing forwardness in position at both the top and bottom halves of the flap). Flap measures approximately 13.5 to 13 3/4" from the top of the stirrup bar where the buckle sits to the bottom of the flap and approximately 14" in width at the widest  point. Tree is regular, measuring approximately 4.25 – 4.5” between the dots under the pommel, with a generous panel angle that will accommodate a horse with a big shoulder or other fuller builds. Features pencil style knee rolls (which we believe have been added as an after market feature; these are the banana-shaped blocks under the flap, for a little additional support) and back blocks. Made in 2006.  Very good condition overall, I just see typical signs of use and the faint beginnings of a wave in the seat leather (as commonly seen on a lot of dressage saddles, does not impact comfort or functionality, just a cosmetic flaw that helps bring this saddle to you at a more affordable price point.) No billet guards (can be ordered from Antares or any tack store if you wish to use them.)   Retail new in the range of $5,000.  If you desire the performance of a top brand at a hard-to-find price point, this might be your chance. $1,495
