Item #CW95C - CWD 16.5/17" Extra-Long Flap (4L) Full Calfskin with Free Leathers and Irons, Beautiful Condition

$ 2,595.00

CWD 16.5/17” Close Contact Jumping Saddle. Need to fit a long-legged slim rider without going custom?  Want a saddle in top condition for the show circuit at a more wallet-friendly price than going new?  This may be your saddle. Features beautiful soft supple upgraded full calfskin leather in gorgeous condition (the full calfskin upgrade is to add a nice amount of grip and softness).  Stamped 17” and measures a little snug by our tape at approximately 16 ¾” by our tape, so may work for a rider who takes either a 16.5 or 17. This is the SE02 model (which is the deeper seat option, offering a little more security than the flatter seat options, great for larger jumps, riding greener horses, and other situations where a  bit of extra security is appreciated). Gorgeous condition! Padded flap with nice slightly thicker knee pads that give your leg something to press into for added security over larger fences or when your horse is fresh.  The flap is extra-long (4L), regular position.  Flap measures approximately 15” from the top of the stirrup bar to the bottom of the flap and approximately 14” in width at the widest point. Front and back blocks. Has both billet guards, the full-length kind which are superb for best coverage and protection.  Comes with over $100 in free fittings, with beautifully matching Perri’s leathers and Centaur fillis irons. These leathers feature the desirable ability to be easily adjusted from a mounted position (because they slide easily), which is what you’ll want for riding in clinics with Diane Carney or other top clinicians who require stirrup length adjustments mid-ride for flat work versus jumping work.  The fillis irons will satisfy even the most picky clinician who wants you to avoid gimmicks and gadgets in stirrups. (For this reason I always keep a pair of fillis irons on hand to switch into for riding with top clinicians.) New $6,350 in this leather option. Made in 2011 and looks newer, appearing not to have more than a season or two of use. Save thousands and your barnmates will be envious because they will swear you bought it new from its glowing condtion. Measures approximately 4 ¼” between the dots, a fit that will usually work for average horses (but not especially wide ones.) Please note that while the serial number is stamped AO for wide, the actual fit is more like a regular tree suitable for average builds of horses. (Please note, if you have a wide horse we do not think this saddle is likely to fit that build of horse).  If you have a slim long-legged rider, we recommend ordering for trial sooner rather than later if you want to avoid ordering custom, as this seat size/flap combination is often needed but hard to find without ordering new.  $2595
