Item #B70C - Butet 17/17.5 Long/Forward Flap 2007 with Front and Black Blocks (Rear Blocks Hard to Find on Butet) and with Carrying Case
Butet Close Contact Jumping Saddle. The Butet is a great saddle for a rider who appreciates modern features while preferring a close contact that does not feel overly "stuffed" or overly padded. Stamped 17 and is common with this brand, runs generous, measuring approximately 17 ¼” by our tape so may work for a rider who takes a 17 or 17.5. This is the “L” seat which is deeper than the Butet "P" flat seat but not as deep as the Butet "C" extra- deep seat. (Most riders, myself included, consider the “L” Butet rides like a half-seep seat in other brands). Features the famous Butet twist which helps riders wrap their leg down and around a horse (as opposed to feeling “perched” on top of the saddle) especially helpful for riders with a rounder thigh shape. Padded flap. Long/forward flap measuring approximately 13.5” from the top of the stirrup bar where the buckle sits to the bottom of the flap and approximately 14” in width at the widest point. Features front and back blocks, which is hard find without paying extra to have the rear blocks added by the manufacturer/dealer. Has both original billet guards. Tree is suitable for a typical TB build or other high-withered lighter build of horse (For instance if most other brands of French saddles like Antares, Devoucoux, etc. tend to sit too low over your horse’s withers, this may be a great one to try for more wither clearance). French grain flaps are in excellent condition. I see some marks/wear/spotting on panels, knee pads, and seat. For the ultimate in protection for your saddle on the way to a show or clinic, comes with Butet fleecy-lined cover as well as another separate fleecy-lined carrying case. Retails new around $5,050. Made in 2007. Try ours at less than half the price, just $2295.
