"Thanks for your work in putting together the resale estimate for me. I went to WEF this weekend and ended up trading it in towards a Butet Premium. Without your estimate, I wouldn't have known whether what they offered was fair, so your expertise came in handy once again :-) " - J. Kennedy
Need an estimate? If you would like to know an approximate price point that we would recommend on your jumping saddle, please order an estimate by clicking on the 'Estimate' item towards the bottom of the page, and then clicking on 'Add to Cart'. (We used to offer this for free, but received overwhelming numbers of requests from folks using it for purposes other than consignment. In order to keep this service zero-cost for consignment clients and keep the number of requests for other purposes within reason, we now we require a deposit of $25 per estimate, which is credited towards commission if the saddle is consigned within 30 days of the date we email the estimate).
We strongly recommend that potential clients considering consignment start with an estimate if you are expecting a certain price, as it allows you to first have an idea of whether we can meet your price before you ship to us for consignment. An estimate can also be helpful if you are looking for insurance value, a price point for selling it on your own, a second opinion on an offer you have received, or are considering trading-in your saddle on a custom saddle with a manufacturer and want to have an idea of the value before you agree to a trade-in price.
After placing the order/payment for your estimate, send an email with the following to email@example.com :
- Serial number on saddle (in the case of accessories, please just indicate any brand and sizing stamps that you can see). If no serial number is available, please let us know what year you bought the saddle and whether you bought it new or used.
- Photos (6 - 8 photos showing all angles, including underside, aerial view of seat, front view, left and right flaps without fittings, left and right billets with billet guards lifted so condition of billets is visible, cantle view, etc.) ** Note: If you are not including leathers/irons then please do not send photos for an estimate that show these items on your saddle. Only show the items you are including. **
- Written description of areas of wear (i.e. spider cracking, pommel wear, etc.)
Please note, if you send us only partial information instead of the complete list above, we will be unable to complete your quote until you forward complete information, and failing to send the info all at the same time will slow down processing your quote.
Please also note that we only carry saddles and accessories for jumping disciplines (including hunter/jumper and cross country/eventing).
Average processing time for estimates is 3 business days.
